Christopher Lynn Gentry, 61, of The Colony, Texas, passed away on November 24, 2025, with his loving family by his side.

Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Wilbur Lee Gentry and Sylvia Christine Gentry, he is survived by his wife of 38 years, Emily Gentry; his sons, Nathan (Elly) and Jonathan (Briana) Gentry; his daughters, Hannah, Abigail, and Lydia Gentry; and his grandchildren, Elias, Jordan, Ruth, and Haddie Gentry. He is also survived by his sisters, Patricia Lee Calhoun and Renee' Gentry-Heard, his twin brother, Wilbur Lee Gentry Jr. (Shelly), and numerous other beloved relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Samuel Redding Gentry, and brother-in-law, Raymond Walsh Calhoun.

Lynn earned his undergraduate degree in Journalism (Public Relations) from Texas Christian University and an MBA from the University of Dallas. He spent 39 years working in corporate communications and public relations for companies such as Vizient Inc., DeGolyer and MacNaughton Corp., and Accenture. He also worked as a freelance writer and editor and served as an adjunct professor in the University of Dallas graduate school, teaching Marketing. His hobbies included hiking, fishing, karaoke, gardening, & sporting events. Above all his professional accomplishments, the roles he cherished most were those of husband, father, and grandfather ("Papa G"). He and Emily were members of Bent Tree Bible Fellowship for 38 years. Lynn served faithfully on the Sunday worship team, in the Kids Ministry, the Men's Ministry, and in small group leadership.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at Bent Tree Bible Fellowship, with a reception to follow. His ashes will be inurned at the Garden of the Cross columbarium at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.
