Anthony "Tony" Coyle of Parker Texas, passed away surrounded by his family on January 18, 2026. Tony was born March 9, 1946, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Jeanette and Philip Coyle.

Tony grew up in Arizona. Shortly after high school he joined the US Navy. He proudly served his country as an E4 with the Air Anti-Submarine Squadron Twenty-Nine. Tony earned the Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Star, National Defense Service Medal, and Air Medal for twenty active missions in the Southeast Asia combat area.

After his Navy discharge, he earned his degree at the University of Arizona. In 1978, Tony moved to Texas with his wife and young daughter where he began his career at Texas Instruments. He spent over 30 years at TI and holds over thirty-five patents. These patents are still used today across the world in products ranging from cell phones to parts used in the buggy on the moon.

Tony also volunteered as a leader with the Boy Scouts. He helped many young men, including his son, achieve the highest rank of Eagle Scout. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and wood working. In his later years he enjoyed doing ceramics with his wife.

Tony is survived by his loving wife, Jimmie; children: Jennifer and her husband Jason Mince and their children, Andy and Katie; Philip and his wife Chea Coyle and their children, Logan, Noah, and Conner; and Michelle and her husband Jesse Congleton and their children, Bianca and her fiancé Gabe and their child, great grandson Blake, and Kaylee; sister, Amy and her husband Dean Thomas; and a host of extended family members and friends who will always cherish his memory.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents Jeanette and Philip Coyle; brother, Philip Coyle; sisters, Geraldine Case, Stephanie McCoughlin, and Gerri Whitt.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 22, 2026, at New Heights Baptist Church, 340 Hooper Road, Wylie, Texas 75098. Following the funeral, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013 for a committal service with Military Funeral Honors.

The family will receive guests during a visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.

In your times of sorrow please know that you and your family are in my heart, my thoughts and my prayers. Tony was a very special person and all of us in ceramics will miss him dearly.
