Christopher A. Glanz, age 59, dedicated father of seven and faithful husband to Renee Talley, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026 after a short illness. Chris was born November 8, 1966 in Oregon to Richard and Deanna (Hedges) Glanz. Chris’ childhood was greatly influenced by his family’s Christian values – he was loyal, caring and dedicated to his faith.
Chris graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 1985 and attended Trinity Western University from 1985-1987. He also attended seminary in Vancouver Washington commuting from Port Hadlock for an extended period of time. Chris had a wealth of knowledge when it came to construction, mechanics and the Word of God. All of which he desired to share and impart on his children.
He enjoyed the beauty of God’s creation and spending time outdoors with family and friends skiing, fishing, dirt bike riding, gardening and nature walks.
Chris was quite comfortable not being concerned about what others thought – this gave him the freedom to lean into situations that would make most people uncomfortable. Although often an embarrassment to his teenagers, this characteristic proved to be invaluable while raising his children. He spent many years shadowing, supporting and attending his children’s schools, sports, activities and events. An investment he trusted would reap benefits in time.
Chris is survived by his wife Renee, 2 daughters Sarah and Scylia, 5 sons Elisha, Guiseppe, Antonio, Aaron and Austin, 2 granddaughters Alyssa (Junebug) and Olivia (Lila), his brother Mike, sister Julie, Aunt Arlene, father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Juanita, sister-in-law Beth and brothers-in-law Shawn and John, as well as many nieces and nephews.
