In the quiet glow of Lakewood, Colorado, on December 17, 2025, the world dimmed as we lost Christopher John Grosch, affectionately known to friends and family as Chris. Born on June 20, 1977, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, Chris was a master welder whose artistry extended far beyond his profession. His hands shaped metal with the same careful precision that marked every aspect of his life—bold, yet artfully delicate.
Chris was a soul brimming with humor and a zest for life. He could light up any room with his laughter, always the one ready to spin a joke or pull a prank, making memories twinkle like stars in the night sky. He had a unique ability to find joy in the small moments, whether it was hanging out with friends or diving into spirited conversations about sports, where he was a fountain of knowledge, reeling off stats with ease. A true perfectionist in all his projects, Chris approached his welding with an artist's heart, pouring love and dedication into each creation that bore his signature touch.
His spirit was crafted during childhood adventures spent camping and fishing in the embrace of nature, often trailing behind his dad and brother, caught in a reverie of wonderment beneath wide-open skies. Those memories served as the foundation of his bold personality—a testament to his love for the great outdoors and the cherished bond with his family.
Chris leaves behind his beloved brother, Doug, and sister-in-law, Amy, along with a host of joyful laughter echoed in the hearts of his one nephew and four nieces. They carry forward his legacy; every smile and joke shared in their midst a reminder of their vibrant uncle who looked at life as a canvas waiting for rich, colorful strokes.
In the space between moments, where shadows blend with light, Chris’s laughter lingers, and his artistic spirit paints the memories of those who knew him. Gone from our sight but forever etched in our hearts, he has transitioned from this life to the next, where his adventurous spirit is free to wander the landscapes of eternity. In every weld, in every joke shared, in the tender memories created, he lives on—a brilliant star lighting the way for those he loved.
