Rosalie Tafoya was born on August 18, 1939 to Celia (Del Hierro) and Charlie Martinez in Hartman, Colorado. She is the second oldest of five siblings; Alice, Ronald, Abel and Joe Albert.
Rose met her beloved husband of 63 years, Phil Tafoya in Denver, CO and they were married in 1958. They have two sons, Manuel and Michael, eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
Rose passed away on Tuesday, February 10th, 2026 with her son Manuel watching over her and she joined her husband, son, grandson and family awaiting her in heaven.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Celia and Charlie, her four siblings; Alice, Ron, Abel and Joe Albert, her husband Phil, her son Michael and her grandson Justin.
She is survived by her son Manuel (Donna), daughter-in-law Donna Madrid Tafoya, her grandchildren; Tara (Theo), Dominic, Vanessa (Stefano), Aubree, Mikala, Aranza (Mike), Justin (Shontae) and her sixteen great grandchildren (Marissa, Riley, Harlow, Peyton, Halle, Gavin, Justin, Vida, Jaydon, Gianni, Selena, Seihla, Trinity, Maseio, Max and Aspen).
