Christopher Hayward

Chris Hayward, 70, of Albany passed away at his home. The son of Ernest and Elvra (Pettey) Hayward, he was born in Brockton Massachusetts Chris also affectionately known as "ornery" was a dedicated patriot who served his country with pride and honor. He was a gentlemen and loved his family with all his heart as we do him. Treating others with the highest respect was very important to him and he taught his children and step children to do the same. Where ever Chris would go he was loved and admired by everyone he met, even though he wasn't the greatest at remembering everything he always tried to be there for his loved ones no matter what. We will all love and miss this dear solider that will watch out for his loved ones from above. Chris is survived by his wife Frances Carter; children Christie and Kimmie, step sons Joseph, Ian, Jerry and James Eby; Brothers John and Lee Hayward; Sister Diane Hayward; step daughter Rose and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be 1:00pm February 19th at the Elks Lodge in Sweet Home, 440 Osage St, Sweet Home, OR. 97386.
