Christopher Jon Hopkins

Christopher Jon Hopkins, known to many as "The Makeover Guy," passed away peacefully at his home in Minneapolis on November 22, 2025, at the age of 61. Born January 24, 1964, Christopher was an entrepreneur, author, singer, and image consultant whose work inspired people around the world.

He began his career in 1990 with the opening of the Christopher Hopkins Salon and later gained national attention through his appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show. In 2008, he authored the bestselling book Staging Your Comeback: A Complete Beauty Revival for Women Over 45, which continues to be influential today.

Christopher was also an accomplished baritone soloist, performing with the Minnesota Orchestra, the Erie Philharmonic, and the Hannover Radio Philharmonic in Germany. His online makeover series, including The Makeover Guy Reveals and The Power of Pretty, reached millions and became a hallmark of his mission to help others discover their confidence.

In 2017, he and his husband, Robert Lindquist, opened MAKEOVERGUY® Appearance Studios in Minneapolis, focusing on transformational services and digital content.

Christopher is survived by his husband of 37 years, Robert Lindquist, his mother, Joann Hopkins; his sister, Michelle Hall; and his He preceded by his father, Michael Hopkins. He is deeply missed by Tray, his furry companion.
