I enjoyed working with Dr. Jones in the Department of Neurology. He was a happy and compassionate Dr. I also enjoyed working with his wife, Dr. Kirtly Parker-Jones in the Department of Neurology. Kertly, I was so sorry to read of Dr. Jones' passing. He was such a great guy.

I´ve come to know Chris over many years through my long friendship with his wife Kirtly, and thus come to see him through her eyes as well: not just love for him, but respect for his deeply principled nature- never imposed on anyone else or loudly and self-servingly advertised, but deeply held and clearly at the core of his life. Chris has been a rare, remarkable individual it´s been a privilege to know.
Besides, his answer to an anxious curbside question years ago has been the best bit of sleep-medicine advice
: "Resting is almost as good as sleeping." Changed my life. Thanks so much, Chris-I will miss you and your quiet, whimsical smile and adroit advice.

I met Chris as a resident, and worked with him in sleep clinic. I learned a different style of being a physician from him, one where he sits with the patient, quietly listening, even through uncomfortable silence. I think of this often while I'm in clinic now as faculty.
I admired his commuter e-bike, which he designed well before e-bikes were "a thing", including regenerative breaking. As faculty, I always admired him for his intelligence, humor, and empathy.
Rest in peace, and all condolences and heart to Kirtly and his family.

Dr. Jones will be deeply missed. As Medical Director of the Sleep Center, I had the privilege of partnering with him in leading the clinic. His commitment to excellence, patient care, and education was unmatched, and his tireless efforts helped shape our center into one of the best.
Even during challenges, Dr. Jones remained steadfast, supportive, and loyal. His leadership, dedication, and compassion left a lasting impact on our team and the patients we served.
We honor his legacy and are grateful for the time we were fortunate enough to share with him.

Chris hired me out of my sleep medicine fellowship. I feel very grateful that I had an opportunity to know him and work with him especially early in my career.
One memory I have of Chris is when he invited me to go for a bicycle ride up the canyon from his house. I thought I was in pretty good shape but I was impressed how he easily made it up that road and I was huffing and puffing.
My condolences to Kirtly and his family.
