Christopher Kirby Obituary
Christopher Shane Kirby, 45, a lifelong resident of Athens, TN passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 in a Knoxville, TN hospital. He was born on January 14, 1979 in Athens, TN. He worked in construction and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.
He is preceded in death by his step-father Terry "Toby" Hart and grandparents Albert & Pauline Martin, Wash & Mary Martin, Annie Davis and Ezra & Azalee Kirby.
Chris leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother Doris Hart, wife Amanda Kirby, three daughters Destiny Kirby, MyKala Kirby and Faith Kirby, one son Hunter Kirby, six grandchildren Caius, Ivy, Grayson, Finley, Lucas, and Bryson, one sister Rhonda Powers, one brother Tracy Kirby, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
A celebration of his life is planned for Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 4:00 PM in the Athens chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S White Street in Athens, TN with the Reverend Cory Baldwin officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2:00 PM until the 4:00 PM service time.
The interment and committal service will follow the service in the Sullins Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
