Christopher Robin Kohut, 72, passed away at his home on May 23, 2025. He was supported by his loving family, especially his devoted wife, who was his caregiver for seven years, along with their son Samuel.

He was born to Albert and Helen Glines Kohut on May 14, 1953, in New Brunswick NJ. He was the youngest of three children and grew up in a restored farmhouse on 5 acres near Princeton, NJ.

Chris began singing at the age of seven in the choir at his home church. He attended the Columbus Boychoir School in Princeton, NJ, from the ages of nine to eleven.

Music was his love and passion throughout his whole life. At eighteen years old (Spring 1972), he gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ and served him with all his heart and soul.

Chris attended Pinecrest Bible Training Center in NY from 1973-1977 where he met his beautiful wife, Ellen Anderson. They were married in 1975 and were blessed with two children. For fifty years, they moved around the country serving in ministry and service to the Lord and also adopted two children from California.

Chris had his own business repairing leather and upholstery at numerous car dealerships. He also had a small business playing the Renaissance Lute for weddings and events.

He was a member of the East Coast Surf Kayak Team and enjoyed building kayaks, surfing, reading, history, art and traveling the world. His travels took him on two mission trips to India with his close friend, Bob Lake.

He was a member of Christ Church Anglican and enjoyed serving in the folk group and the Compline Service.

Chris was known for his beautiful voice, his skill in playing stringed instruments and a wry sense of humor. He imparted so much of the heart of God to others through his life and music and left a beautiful heavenly mark on all of the hearts he touched.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Ellen Marie Kohut, daughter Eve Miles, son Justin Kohut (Michelle), daughter Sarah Harrell (James), son Samuel Kohut and eight grandchildren: David Miles (Lydia), Emma Miles, Abigail Miles, Kaycee Kohut, Tasha Kohut, Ellen Harrell, Ruth Harrell and Michael Harrell. Also surviving are his sister Jane Kohut-Bartel (Fred) and brother David A. C. Kohut (Kay) and sister in law, Diane Heppner along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
