Christopher Michael Lahti, 51, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, in Niles, Michigan.
Chris was born on December 4, 1972 in South Bend, Indiana to Bruce Lahti and Diane (Horak) Lahti.
Chris was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Lahti.
Left to cherish the memory of Chris are his daughters, Meghan (Thomas) Hess, Madisyn Lahti, and Elizabeth Lahti; grandson, Nolan Wedgworth; sister, Lori Lahti; brother, Todd Lahti, and mother, Diane Lahti.
Chris was an ardent lover of the outdoors, finding solace and excitement in hunting. It was more than a hobby- it was his life. His athletic spirit shone bright on the softball field, where he played with passion and a competitive edge that was always friendly and in pursuit of fun.
Chris had a lifelong love affair with scratch-off lottery tickets, always convinced the next one would make him a millionaire-if only for a few minutes!
Infused with an infectious energy, Chris was undoubtedly the life of the party. His humor was a gift he freely shared, leaving a trail of laughter and smiles that will echo in our hearts. A proud and huge Michigan fan, he wore his colors with a pride that was tangible and inspiring.
Chris's absence will be deeply felt, but his legacy of joy will continue to uplift us. His memory will be cherished and celebrated by everyone who had the pleasure of experiencing his unique and shining light.
A Celebration of Life for Chris will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 1:00pm at the Elks Lodge, 1322 Canal Street in Niles.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home.
