Shawn David Strawderman

Shawn David Strawderman passed away on July 30, 2025, in Edwardsburg, Michigan.

Born on September 17, 1979, in Elyria, Ohio, the son of Clarence "David" and Paula (Logan) Strawderman Miller.

Shawn was the proud owner of S&S Machine in Edwardsburg, where he combined his passion for mechanics with his entrepreneurial spirit. His dedication to his work was evident in the success of his business and the respect he garnered from his colleagues. Shawn's professional life was marked by his unwavering commitment to excellence and his ability to inspire those around him.

Shawn was preceded in death by his beloved son, Gage Strawderman, in 2023, and his father, Clarence "David" Strawderman.

He is survived by his wife, Brandy Rae (Myers) Strawderman, and his cherished children, Cloey Strawderman (Andrew Hancock) of Osceola, and Colten Strawderman of Edwardsburg, his mother, Paula (Dave) Miller of Edwardsburg, his sister, Stacy (Tyrone) Strawderman of Edwardsburg, along with his niece, Lexi, and nephew, DeMarea, also mourn his loss.

Shawn's interests were as varied as they were intense. He had a profound love for the outdoors, often found fishing on the lake, hunting in the woods, or scouring for materials to scrap. These activities brought him immense joy and provided a sanctuary where he could recharge and reflect. When not engaged in his outdoor pursuits, Shawn could be found in his kitchen, where he delighted in transforming into a chef, much to the delight of his family and friends. Shawn's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of those who knew him. He was a man of integrity and a beacon of kindness and generosity. His absence will be deeply felt, but the memories he created will continue to bring comfort and smiles to all who were fortunate enough to cross his path.

Funeral services will be held at Brown Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 7p.m. with a time of visitation beginning at 5p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Shawn's memory in care of Brown Funeral Home.
