Timothy Wray Curtis

Timothy Wray Curtis, 68, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, in Niles, Michigan.

Tim was born on December 1, 1957 in Niles, Michigan to Dean Curtis and Jean (Curtis) Huber.

Left to cherish the memory of Tim is his daughter, Jessica (Earl) Shaffer; two grandchildren; sisters, Deborah (Kevin) Hancock and Karen (Gary) Blank, and mother, Jean Huber.

Tim will be remembered as a man who would bring the fun, open your mind to new possibilities and encourage you to never stop learning. In his youth he attended Edwardsburg schools and later received his Doctorate in Electrical Engineering.

He had a gift in fixing things that others would leave discarded and forgotten. He would pour himself into his projects and feel immense pride once accomplished. He loved to challenge his mind, always curious and eager to learn and never shying away from a problem that needed solving. He loved spending his time out on the water fishing, riding motorcycles, cooking and blasting rock and roll music loud enough to rival a concert.

Tim's life was built on an incredible drive to experience as much as he could and share that life with as many friends as possible. If there was one thing you knew about Tim, it was the love he had for his daughter, Jessica. He spent his time showing her how to believe in herself, teaching her to follow any passion she had with her whole heart and to work hard for anything that is worth having.

He leaves behind memories of steady hands, a sharp mind and love for life. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him.

In keeping with Tim's wishes, there will be a private gathering held at a later date.
