Christopher Rene Lerma

Christopher Rene Lerma, born on October 14, 1971, passed away on November 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was 53 years old and was affectionately known by all his family and friends as Budha. Christopher, a talented florist, known for creating beautiful, thoughtful arrangements had a unique ability to brighten any room when making his deliveries to his clients and family. He also delighted in preparing special meals for his loved ones, and making tamales with mom and cousin Karen. His passion for life was infectious, and he embraced every moment with an open heart and a carefree spirit. Whether spending time with family or tending to his garden, he found joy in the simplest of things, reminding us all to appreciate the beauty around us.
Christopher's legacy is one of love, happiness, and freedom. He lived life on his own terms, inspiring those around him to do the same. His laughter and kindness will be profoundly missed but will forever remain in our hearts. He is survived by his beloved mother, Toni DelToro Rodriguez and spouse Rudolph Rodriguez, his sister, Roxane Huntley and spouse Randy Huntley, his sons, Blake Rene Lerma, Christopher Staton, Drake Rene Lerma, Cameron Douglas Lerma, his granddaughter Paislee Grace Lerma, beloved girlfriend Anna Martinez, Godmother and Aunt, Hortencia Rodriguez and many other cherished family members who will miss him deeply. Preceded by Great-grandfather, Jose Vidaurri, grandparents, Anita Vidaurri DelToro, Esteban DelToro, Aunt, Mary Zavala, Godfather and Uncle Daniel Rodriguez Sr. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Sterling White Funeral Home, located at 11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas, 77562, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located at 915 Runneburg Rd., Crosby, Texas 77532. A funeral procession will follow to Sterling White Cemetery, 11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas 77562. Chris will be remembered for his kind heart, creativity, and dedication to his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and beautiful memories. In honoring his memory, he will be missed by family and friends deeply, let us celebrate the love he shared and the joy he brought to our lives. Rest in peace, dear Christopher.
