Christopher James Lester

Christopher James Lester, 55 passed away unexpectedly on January 8, 2026 at U of M East Bank Hospital.

He is survived by his two sons, Austin Lester and David Lester, his mother, Debra Lester, his uncles and aunts, Wally Carlson Jr. (Delilah), Pam Demmer, Pat Carlson (Sue), Bill Lester (Brenda), many loving cousins and his grandfather Wally Carlson who was like a father to him.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Sarah Fink, Uncle Ron Carlson, Father Richard Lester, and Grandparents Patty Carlson, Howard and Marion Lester.

Born on August 31, 1970 in St. Paul, MN at St. Joseph's Hospital to mother Debra Lester and his father, Richard Lester. Chris grew up playing football, hockey and riding all sorts of outdoor toys. He loved working on anything with an engine alongside his uncles, Wally, Ron and Pat who were like brothers to him. He became a father at 28 to his son, Austin and then again at 32 with his second son, David. He'd spend the next 28 years pouring as much love, hard work, and determination into his two boys as he could, along with his joys of sports, fishing, and lake life. He spent the last few years of his life doing what he had always dreamed of, sitting lakeside with his dog Maggie enjoying the wind blow and the waves lap on the shore. Chris will be deeply missed by many and we can't wait to see him again one day.
