Christopher "Chris" Lewis

Beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Friend, and Father Figure

Christopher Lewis, born in Newport News, Virginia in 1971, passed away on September 20, 2025, leaving behind a devastated family and countless friends who will miss him dearly. Chris was a man of quiet strength, deep loyalty, and boundless generosity. He was the kind of person who would drop everything to help someone in need-especially if it meant fixing their car.

Chris was a loving and dedicated son, caring for his mother with unwavering commitment and compassion. Their bond was deep and enduring, and her heartbreak is immeasurable as she mourns the loss of her son and the constant presence he provided in her life.

He shared a special connection with his sister Jennifer Gallo, cherishing every moment spent together. Chris was a devoted uncle to Sierra Garcia, Joanie Gallo, and Jack Gallo, and great uncle to Isabella, Summer, Gus and Mateo, always present with a warm smile, a helping hand, and a heart full of love.

Though Chris never had children of his own, he became a steady and loving father figure to "Small Fry". His presence brought stability, compassion, and guidance, helping "Small Fry" stay on a positive path. Chris filled that role not out of obligation, but out of the deep kindness that defined his character.

Chris also found joy and companionship in his three rescue puppies, who meant the world to him. They were more than pets-they were family. His devotion to them reflected the same loyalty and care he gave to everyone in his life.

To his friends, Chris was more than dependable-he was family. His garage was always open, his advice always honest, but maybe with a hint of sarcasm (ok a lot of sarcasm), and his friendship always true. He leaves behind a legacy of selflessness, laughter, and love that will live on in the stories shared and the lives he touched.

Christopher Lewis will be remembered not only for what he did, but for who he was: a man who gave freely, loved deeply, and made the world a better place simply by being in it.
