Christopher Madormo Obituary
It is with deep and profound grief that the family of Christopher P. Madormo announce his sudden passing. Chris, beloved husband of Jeanne (Oldham) Madormo, died unexpectedly at his home January 3, 2024. Born December 17, 1956 in Binghamton, NY, he was a son of the late Dominic and Marie (Porter) Madormo.
Chris earned his bachelor's degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He began working at Red Lobster as a teen and after 40+ years of dedicated hard work, retired as Director of Operations. He made many wonderful long and lasting friendships at work. He also met and fell in love with Jeanne. It was love at first sight and were blessed with almost 39 years of marriage.
Family was everything for Chris. The birthdays of each of his children: Christopher, Jessie and Timothy were among the best days of his life. He was a wonderful father, very involved in his kid's lives. Many precious memories were made during vacations at the Jersey shore, Disney, Napa Valley and Nashville. He enjoyed hiking, golf and beer night with the Luke Street neighbors. He loved the Beatles. His grandchildren were the light of his life. Chris left this earth too soon, but leaves a trove of love and memories with all those who were blessed to know him. He was a hardworking, loving and dedicated husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He will be so missed.
Left to mourn his loss and honor his love and memory besides his loving wife Jeanne are his children Christopher and his wife Alena of Avon, Jessie and her husband Jed Henry of Nashville and Timothy of Prospect as well as his beloved grandchildren Christopher Leo Madormo and Andi Henry and his best buddy Stella. He also leaves his brother Michael of NY and sisters Suzanne and husband Gregory and Delina both of VA and many nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in-laws. Chris is predeceased by his parents and his brother Dominic.
A mass of Christian burial for Chris will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 10:30 am at St. Anthony's Church, 4 Union City Rd, Prospect. All those who are planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Friends and family are invited to visit with the Madormo family on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Rd. Prospect. I don't know what made Chris cross my mind today, but he did. I remember him from high school as a smart, funny and friendly guy. I wondered where he might be these days, so I Googled him. I am sad to see that he passed so young and wish him eternal peace. I also recognized the names of others who posted thoughts which was good to see.

I am so sorry to hear of Chris´s passing! Sadly, we´d lost touch after high school but he was one of the funniest people I´ve ever known. Rest in Peace, my friend!

So saddened to hear of his passing. I can only think of him and smile. We had wonderful memories at BCHS. Thinking of his family at this incredibly difficult time.

Chris was an incredible mentor and role model of excelling in business and loving family. I worked with Chris from 2008-2014 and learned so much from him on balancing people and operations. One of my best memories is convincing him to do "Superman" at a NRO, the team members went wild and just loved him. My most favorite memory is him beaming about talking about his wife and kids, the single word of love will never encompass how much they meant to him. He LOVED them. I´m blessed to have been in his life. Blessings to the family.
