Christopher Joseph McKenzie

Christopher Joseph McKenzie, 67, of Fairmont passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at JW Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania on January 07, 1957, a son of the late Christopher John and Betty J. Callaghan McKenzie.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked in finance as well as being a Child Protective Services Worker. He was a dedicated member of the Immaculate Conception Church. He was an Eagle Scout and served his country in the Army National Guard. He most loved spending time with his family, which included his fur babies Nellie and Nico.
He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years Anna Greco McKenzie; three sons Keith Christopher McKenzie and his spouse Leigh, Richard Andrew McKenzie and his spouse Cameron and Joshua David Slagle and his spouse Amber; siblings Mary Ursula Zangrilli and her spouse Albert, Emmett Kenzie and his spouse Georgie, Margaret Caigan McKenzie and his twin Christine Keily and her spouse Michael ; two granddaughters Taylor Nicole Thompson and Isabella Nicole Slagle; his loving mother-in-law Patty Greco and all the supportive in-laws from the Greco family, Celeste, Patty, Mary, Rick, Roseanna, Judi and Cathy Jo and their spouses; several nieces and nephews and a special thanks to the Haymond family, Dave, Mary, Elizabeth and Isaac for the constant support and care given to Christopher during difficult times.
Friends may call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, Fairmont on Friday, November 29, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 329 Maryland Avenue, Fairmont, WV with Father Kishore Varaparla as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Crucible, Pennsylvania.
