Pat Rowland

Patricia "Pat" Joanne Rowland, 73, of Fairmont passed away at her home surrounded by her sons on Tuesday, September 02, 2025. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on March 28, 1952, the daughter of the late Charles and Esther Cassidy.

She graduated from Fairmont State University receiving a bachelor's degree in physical education. She was on the first Women's Swim Team at Fairmont State and was also a cheerleader. Among her hobbies were swimming, water skiing, snow skiing, and riding Harley with her husband Ron. She was an excellent cook and most enjoyed the time spent with her family and friends. Pat was an outgoing person who never met a stranger and would do anything for anyone in need. She retired as the food service manager at Fairmont General Hospital.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 Years Ronald "Ron" Rowland; her father and mother in-law Skip and Nep Rowland; two brothers-in-law Rick and Randy Rowland.

She is survived by her two sons Ryan Rowland and Adam Rowland; her sister-in-law Lynn Hlusko and her husband Charlie and their daughter Katelyn; and her beloved dog River.

In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated. A memorial gathering will be held at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
