Born on June 13, 1959, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Chris was known for his kind spirit and sense of humor. Affectionately remembered by many as a gentle soul, his presence left a lasting impression on those who knew him. He had many interests, a love for travel and a deep care for those around him.

In the days leading up to his passing, Chris spent cherished time with his mother, Renata Stowasser Midgette; his brother, Michael Midgette; and his sister, Teresa Midgette Vrdoljak. This final gathering brought comfort and peace to his loved ones.

Chris spent his final days at Aperion Care Home in Chicago’s East Rogers Park neighborhood, where he received compassionate care from the dedicated staff. During his time there, he formed meaningful connections with both caregivers and fellow residents. Before moving to Aperion Care Home, he lived with his mother at their lakefront apartment in Shoreline Towers in Edgewater.

He is survived by his mother, Renata Stowasser Midgette (Patrick); sister, Teresa Midgette Vrdoljak (Zeljko); brother, Michael Midgette; and half-sister, Theresa Berg-Hunt (Andrew). He is also remembered by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews.

Chris was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Wilson Midgette, and brother-in-law, Jack (Zeljko) Vrdoljak.

Arrangements for Christopher will be announced in the near future. The family appreciates your prayers during this time of remembrance.

May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
