As a Rhode Island friend Chris and I talked on the phone frequently. He was not in good shape when we last talked but our discussion was very up beat. We talked about the time I hired him as the chef of Sigma Pi fraternity at the University of Rhode Island. The residents loved his creations and brought guests to many meals. I will miss Chris tremendously. He will be in my thoughts frequently and be missed. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again at the table in the sky. Walt Larmie

I will always remember Chris's quiet larrikin smile and wonderful laugh, which were seen and heard on many occasions, despite the pain he suffered. He had a huge heart and was happy to open it to those in need of succor. What a great joy it was to have known him.

Chris was my frog catching card playing buddy at camp on Swan Lake many years ago. RIP

Chris was a founding member of Waterville Community Land Trust. His beautiful home on Water Street became the meeting place for many South End Association meetings with Chris generously providing home baked refreshments. Chris loved to cook pies and we all enjoyed eating them.

We shared so many concerns together, often quick or long phone calls to complain or accept with humor daily news events. Chris cared deeply about politics. I think he would accept my characterization of him as a liberal but with the yankee belief that people also needed to accept responsibility.

When my cat, Hattie, had her litter of kittens, Chris adopted and adored the male kitten that he named Gus. Gus grew to be taller but identically marked as his mother.

I knew Chris would be leaving us when he was ready but only a few days before his death he had made a large pot of soup and froze portions for later use. I had hoped that meant that we had more time together.

Blessing for peace and love with your heavenly family . From our childhood days, to our school years memories, and when we met again many years later ,we just continued on with our friendship. That´s what great cousins do.

Chris was a dear friend. We talked daily and he always had a laugh. He went on his own terms. His last hours were peaceful and surrounded by friends who loved him very much. Chris was the bravest man I ever met. I'll be with you before long.
