Christopher L Morton

Dover, NH- Christopher L. Morton, 64, of Dover, NH passed away at home on September 13,
2023.
He was born in Honolulu HI on June 8 th 1959 to Ronald and Carol (Atkins) Morton. As a military
dependent, he and his 2 brothers moved all over the world, Germany, France as well as several
places in the United States.
Chris graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1979 and at the age of 17 joined the Airforce
before going to The University of New Hampshire graduating in 1989 with a Bachelor's of Arts
(BA) in Psychology.
Chris worked as a counselor for troubled youth in schools. Later, he became an insurance
agent. He became disabled from side effects of the Air Force immunizations.
Chris enjoyed taking his jeep out to the woods, swimming in Chacorua lake, collecting firearms
and other military equipment. He trained in Hapkido and traveled to Seoul, Korea to test for his
black belt.
He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and hiker. Chris enjoyed working on his home projects.
Chris was preceded in death by his brother Tony H. Morton in 1981, his daughter Sarah A
Morton in 2011, as well as his parents Ronald and Carol.
Chris is survived by his wife of 26 years Margret Morton of Dover NH, Brother Troy Morton and
his Wife Denise from Vermont, His Daughter Amy Morton and her partner William Gammon of
Dover NH, His godson Eli Autry and wife Rachael of Milton, His Grandchildren Lucius Gerry and
Trinity Watters, His niece Tenea Morton of Georgia and Nephews Jonathan Morton of Abu
Dhabi, and Calvin Morton of Vermont as well as many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, great nieces and
nephews.
A time of visiting will be at the Taskers Funeral home 621 Central Ave Dover on Friday Sept 22,
2023 from 4-6pm
In lieu of flowers, memorial Donations can be made to The Wounded Warrior Project, an
organization near and dear to Chris' heart.
