Christopher “Shane” Muse, 41, died March 29, 2024. A devoted combat veteran who served with the 18th Airborne Corps 3rd Battalion, 321 Field Artillery Regiment who served two tours, Afghanistan and Iraq. Tragically, he succumbed to the invisible wounds of war, leaving behind a legacy of bravery and sacrifice. His courage and love endure in the hearts of those he leaves behind. He enjoyed music, movies and loved his fur babies.
He is survived by his loving wife, Monica, his parents Kay (Greg) Klein and Perry (Nila) Muse; in-laws, Ed and Cindy Klein; his siblings Jeremy (Autumn Godeke) Muse, Alanna (Cory) Rupert, Jessie Kropp; his Papaw Louie Muse; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and military brothers.
Rest in peace, dear soldier, your sacrifice will never be forgotten.
A Memorial Service will be on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, IL 61108. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Please share memories and condolences online at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
