Christopher Ray Pace, 45, passed away at his residence, where he was found on Wednesday, June 8, 2022.
He was born in Buncombe County to Matt and Denise Pace. Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Eloise Nelon. He had a great passion for cars, that started with working on VWs and eventually led to Minitrucks, being dearest to his heart. He loved to tinker with these cars, and had his own business, Appalachian Welding and Drag Shop, where he proudly applied his skills to enhance other vehicles. Chris enjoyed going to Scrapin The Smokies shows as well, where he connected with numerous other car enthusiasts. He adored his cats, who were his constant companions, and took pleasure in raising silky chickens. Chris was devoted to the Rastafarian lifestyle and relished making people smile. He was a great lover of nature and all within it.
In addition to his parents, Chris is survived by his grandparents, Don and Garnet Pace; a brother, Corey Pace; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His heart of gold and infectious smile will be sorely missed, but his mother says that, "he is now a Rasta-angel".
The River of Life proceeded to flow from the throne of God, and on either side of the bank there was the tree of life, and the leaf from that tree is for the healing of the nations.
No funeral services are to be held at this time.
