Christopher Michael Paille

Christopher Paille, age 54, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 surrounded by his loving wife, two daughters, and son in law. Chris lived his life with a calm and steady spirit, a quiet strength that brought comfort to those around him. His laugh, warm and contagious, could fill a room and remind us of the simple joys of being together. A lifelong lover of baseball, he found joy in both playing and watching the game that mirrored so much of his own character: patience, teamwork, and dedication. Beyond the ballfield, he cherished time outdoors, whether hunting in the stillness of the woods or fishing by the water's edge. These were the places where he felt most at peace. Above all, Christopher was devoted to his family. He was a guiding hand to his children, a loving and supportive husband, a caring son and brother, and a loyal friend. He lived with integrity, kindness, and a deep love for those closest to him. His memory will live on in the stories we share, the laughter he gave us, and the love he poured into his family and friends. Though he will be deeply missed, his contagious laugh and the love he spread will remain with us forever. Christopher is survived by his wife of 27 years, Tanya Smith Paille, two daughters Shanna Renee Paille, ShelbyLynn Paille-Gisevius, and son in law Gavin Gisevius. He is also survived by his parents, Robert Paille and Joyce Paille, brothers Robbie Paille (Erin Paille), Brandon Paille (Cassie Paille), and nephew Skylor Paille. A visitation will be held at the Chapel of Brandon G Thompson Funeral Home, 12012 Hwy 190 West Hammond LA, Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 5pm until 9 pm. Visitation will resume on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 9am until 11 am. A service to honor his life will be held at 11am and he will be laid to rest immediately following at Colonial Cemetery in Independence LA.
