CHRISTOPHER PATTON

Christopher Lee Patton, age 47, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2025, secure in the Love of his Lord and his family.

Chris was born on September 2, 1978, to Charles J. Patton and Ida Mae Wade, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is survived by his father, Charles J. Patton (Rebecca); half-brothers, Darrell Wade (Niko) and Charles Jeffrey Patton, Jr.; stepbrother, DeWitt Jordan, Jr. and stepsister, Alicia Spencer (Lewis). Chris' beloved mother preceded him in death. Chris is also survived by his treasured nieces and nephews, Ronieka Wade, Reigna Wade, Reiden Wade, Jadin Jordan, Nathaniel Clark, Caleb Clark, Chody Patton, Chandler Patton, and Chasen Patton.

Chris was born into a large extended family. Numerous treasured uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends are left to mourn his loss and celebrate his life. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert D. and Carolyn Patton; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Willie Mae Union Leveringston, and maternal grandfather, Cecil Leveringston.

Chris was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis, Indiana and his Bachelor's Degree from Ball State University. He was a member of the Allen Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church of Indianapolis. Chris was a thirty-second degree PHA Mason with the Meridian Lodge #33.

Chris' life was defined by Faith, Honor, and Love. He lived his faith in God daily, always grateful, sometimes stubborn, but never wavering. He was the special guy that could be trusted unconditionally and was the one person that could be counted on to show up-no matter what.

Chris' career in sports production provided him with many travel opportunities, both domestically and internationally. He also enjoyed traveling with friends and family, making great memories on beaches, at events, and at reunions. Additionally, Chris was an avid collector of Sci-Fi memorabilia, comics, figurines, and enjoyed attending SCI-FI movies.

Of all the experiences of life, Chris loved his family the most. He was the secret keeper, the nickname giver, the story library. He documented his love with pictures, and with his presence. Chris showed up, every time. From the oldest to the youngest, he made each person feel special. He shared his love generously. He lived his life walking in Faith, supporting with Honor, and Loving with his whole heart. With his unique combination of characteristics, he could not fail.
