Donna Lynn Biggs

Donna Lynn Biggs, 77, of Alexandria, Indiana, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026, at 7:27 p.m., at Community Hospital Anderson.

Donna was born on September 11, 1948, in Bedford, Indiana, the daughter of Dale and Virginia (Jones) Wright, both of whom preceded her in death.

An educator, Donna dedicated her career to shaping young minds and fostering a love for learning. She earned her Master's Degree and served in the field of education, ultimately becoming Principal at Burris Laboratory School in Muncie, Indiana. She retired in 2004, leaving behind a legacy of leadership, compassion, and excellence in education. Donna was proud of her work and the countless lives she influenced throughout her career.

She was a graduate of Paoli High School, Class of 1966, and later earned her degree from Ball State University, graduating in 1988.

Donna was united in marriage to Glenn C. Biggs on April 11, 1969, and together they shared many years of love, devotion, and family life.

Donna enjoyed boating and jet skiing, and she had a special fondness for her red Corvette, a car she loved dearly and was known to enjoy to the fullest. Those who knew Donna well would smile knowing she may have even taken part in a drag race or two, always with a sense of fun, confidence, and adventure. She was also a devoted pet lover and cherished her several Shih Tzus, who brought her great joy and companionship. She was formerly a member of Glad Tidings Church in Anderson.

Donna is survived by her loving husband, Glenn Biggs; her children, James (Vicki) Biggs of Alexandria, Tracey (Kris) Smith of Muncie, and Mike (Laura) Biggs of Frankton; her grandchildren, Nataleigh (Jacob) King and Austin (Ryann) Biggs; and her great-grandchildren, Asher King, Autumn Biggs, and Benjamin Biggs.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Whetsel Funeral Service, 1503 S Park Ave, Alexandria, Indiana.

Immediately following visitation, a funeral service celebrating Donna's life will begin at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Mike Biggs officiating. Burial will follow at Jones Cemetery, Yorktown.

As we reflect on Donna's life, may we carry forward her legacy of love and kindness in our hearts. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
