Christopher Michael Pettit

Christopher Michael Pettit, fondly known as Chris, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, at the age of 50, at Elizabeth House in Hendersonville. Born on October 3, 1975, in Hendersonville, Chris was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend who touched the lives of many with his warmth and kindness.

Chris grew up in the close-knit community of Mills River and was a proud graduate of West Henderson High School. He spent his professional life in insurance sales.

In his personal life, Chris was an avid sports enthusiast. He cherished afternoons on the golf course, cheering for the UNC Tarheels basketball team, and rooting for the NY Giants football team. However, his greatest joy came from spending quality time with his beloved nieces and nephews, who brought immense happiness to his life.

Chris was preceded in death by his loving parents, Jennings Bryan Pettit and Elaine Bryson Pettit. He is survived by his devoted brother, Josh Pettit, and sister-in-law, Melissa. He leaves behind cherished memories with his nephews, Luke and Noah Pettit, and niece, Olivia Pettit. Chris will also be dearly missed by his aunts, Marguarite McCraw and Lynn Bryson, along with numerous friends and extended family members.

The family will reach out directly regarding the arrangements for his services, allowing those who knew and loved Chris to gather in celebration of his life.

Chris will be remembered for his gentle spirit, unwavering loyalty, and the love he shared with all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
