Bell Tower Funeral Home & Crematory - Post FallsChristopher William “Buzzy” Plummer, 68
Christopher William “Buzzy” Plummer, 68, passed away on February 23, 2026, at the Idaho State Veterans Home in Post Falls, Idaho. He was born on February 15, 1958, in Neptune City, New Jersey, the son of the late Arthur and Marion Plummer (Van Gieson).
Christopher grew up in Belmar, New Jersey. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for three years during the Vietnam War era. After his military service, he later settled in the Coeur d’Alene, Idaho area, where he met Pamela Sue Reynolds. The couple married on April 7, 1987, in Carson City, Nevada.
In 1988, Christopher began working at Precision Wood Products, where he was quickly promoted to foreman. He later continued his career with Excel Insulation until his retirement in 2012.
Christopher enjoyed riding his motorcycle, woodworking, watching the news, baseball, and professional wrestling. He loved cars, especially his pride and joy, his red 2021 Toyota Tacoma. He was also known for his love of storytelling and could often be found sharing stories and memories with family and friends. Above all, he treasured time with his children, go-karting and bike riding during the summer months and sledding together in the winter. Christopher was the kind of father who would do anything for his family, even driving 180 miles on a winter night to change his daughter’s flat tire while she was away at college. When his son was deployed overseas with the Army, Christopher packed up and moved to North Carolina to help care for his granddaughter and raise a litter of puppies, never hesitating to step in wherever his family needed him most.
He is survived by his two children, Christopher Robert Plummer (Brittney) of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Lacey Dannielle Clements (Eric) of Spokane, Washington; his sister, Candace Larson (Ron) of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; and his brothers, Bobby Plummer (Dana) of Johnson City, Tennessee and Arthur Plummer (Margret) of Belmar, New Jersey. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Corey Tapp of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Kayleen Plummer of Dahlonega, Georgia.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 20, at Bell Tower Funeral Home in Post Falls, Idaho.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the caring staff at the Idaho State Veterans Home in Post Falls for their compassion and support.
Christopher, known to many as “Buzzy”, will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
