Christopher Ray Pyles
September 18, 1972 – September 29, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher Ray Pyles, 52, of Florence, Kentucky, who left this world on September 29, 2024, and is now reunited in peace with his beloved mother, Louise, and his son, Christian Pyles.
Born in Edgewood, Kentucky on September 18, 1972, Christopher was a man of many talents, deep passions, and an enormous heart that touched everyone who knew him.
He was the beloved son of Ira and Louise Pyles and the cherished husband of his high-school sweetheart, Linda Pyles, with whom he reconnected after 25 years, sharing a life full of love, laughter, and countless memories. Christopher was a proud and loving father to his children, Christian Pyles, Sterling Wagner-Pyles, Natosha Thaman (Sam), Alyssa Henegar, and Joshua Henegar. He leaves behind his adored grandchildren, Clayton, Braxton, and Jackson Thaman, whose lives were brighter because of his love and presence. He is survived by his siblings Greg Pyles (Beth), Cheryl Parton (Ric), and Scott Pyles (Debbie), along with his many nieces and nephew: Jordan Reynolds (Nathan), Ashli Vogelpohl (Brad), Hanna Pyles, Laney Pyles, and Matthew Pyles (April) along with his great-nieces Abigail Pyles, Grace Pyles, and Zoey Pyles.
Christopher was a skilled barber by trade, where he worked nearly 30 years alongside his father at Ira's Barbershop in Newport, Kentucky; this craft allowed him to connect with so many in his community. Outside of work, he had a deep love for blacksmithing, where his hands shaped metal with the same care and precision he gave to everything in his life. A proud practitioner of karate, he found strength and peace in the discipline. He was also known for his love of BBQ, a passion that brought friends and family together for unforgettable meals and moments.
Though his passing leaves an unimaginable void, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Christopher's kind spirit, his humor, and the warmth of his presence will be deeply missed.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Don Catchen & Sons Funeral Homes in Erlanger, Kentucky, to celebrate his life and legacy. In this time of sorrow, we find solace in remembering the joy, love, and strength Christopher brought into our lives, and we carry him in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for kindness and compassion in memory of Christopher, and for all who struggle in silence to seek help and know that they are not alone.
Don Catchen & Son Funeral Home, Elsmere KY is assisting the family.

Ira and Family,
We are deeply saddened to hear the news of Chris passing away. There are no words that can relay the emotions and deep empathy we feel because anyone that has experienced this heartache understands. May God replace your grief with fond memories and everlasting hope that you will see him again in Heaven. Share stories, keep pictures out, love each other and keep hope always - it will be a good way to keep his memory and legacy going from generation to generation.
