Christopher Daniel Ramirez, age 42, left this life to live with Our Heavenly Fater on Sunday January 12, 2025, in Colorado Springs, Co. Christopher was born on March 15, 1982, in El Paso, Texas and he is the only child of his loving parents Benito Ramirez Jr. and Lily A. Ramirez. Christopher was preceded in death by his adored "papa" Arturo M. Perez, his maternal uncles Edward Henry Perez and Jackie N. Heath Jr. and his paternal grandparents Benito and Manuela Ramirez, and Aunt Maria Elena Ramirez. Christopher is also survived by his maternal grandmother Julie V. Perez; his uncle Godfather Manny Perez and his Auntie Godmother Patsy Heath.
He is also survived by his uncles Jose I. Ramirez, Francisco Javier Ramirez, Juan Alfredo Ramirez. His aunts Vicky Ramirez, Espie Ramirez, Maria C. Diaz, Sylvia Ramirez and Norma Herrera and numerous cousins.
Christopher attended Blessed Sacrament School and graduated from Cathedral High School in El Paso, Texas. He is a graduate of New Mexico State University where he was in the Army ROTC. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. The day before his graduation, Christopher was commissioned into the U.S. Army as a 2nd Lieutenant. He received his Basic Officer training at Fort Sill, Ok. as a Field Artillery Officer and later assigned to Fort Carson, Co.
He deployed to Iraq as a member of the 2nd Infantry Division. He later was reassigned to the Fort Drum New York, NY where he deployed to Afghanistan with the 10th Mountain Division.
Christopher's passions included all outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking, mountain climbing, and skydiving. He was an avid reader and loved his pets Scudbuster, Beefcake, and Rescue and any other dog that he would come in contact with. He was a true and faithful Denver Broncos fan and was able to attend numerous games.
Services for Chistopher will be held on Monday January 27, 2025 from 5 pm for visitation; vigil rosary at 6 pm and Reflections at 7 pm. The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday January 28,2025 at Blessed Sacrament Church 9025 Diana Drive, El Paso, Texas 79904, from 12:30 - 1:30pm. Burial will follow immediately at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Drive., El Paso, Texas. 79906.
In lieu of flowers, monetary donations are gratefully requested in Christopher's name to the Amigo Kidney Foundation, 1250 EE. Cliff Ste. 1A El Paso, Texas 79902 or the Humane Society of El Paso, 4991 Fred Wilson Ave., El Paso, Texas 79906.
