Christopher Michael Reever, "Bubbie" passed away on March 30th, 2024. He was born on May 5th, 1991 to Tomasina and Michael Reever. He grew up with three sisters who he would've done anything for. He is predeceased by his most beloved father, Michael Reever, and his stepfather Keenan Harley both of whom he spoke of often and missed deeply. He was also predeceased by his uncle, TJ Reever.
There was nothing in the world more valuable to Christopher than his daughter Layla. His brightest days were filled with taking her on adventures, doing outrageous things in public to make her laugh, and singing songs as loud as possible to drive her crazy. Layla was his heart and soul. Every dream he ever dreamt included bringing joy and more love into her life.
The last few years of Christopher's life were spent being loved richly and deeply. He always met the burdens he was dealt with enduring hope. A hope for a better future with his beautiful daughter and family. Christopher is survived by his daughter Layla Reever, his mother Tomasina Hicks, his sisters Alex Reever, Hannah Reever, and Halle Harley, his life partner Brittney Luhman, his nephew Makhi York, his aunts and uncles Dale Reever, Traci and Jim Burney, Marci Reever and husband Steve, Jami Reever and husband Kim, Kyle Reever, and wife Heather, and many friends who cherished him deeply.
Christopher's celebration of life will be on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm at Overland Park Christian Church in the Fellowship Room. The church is located at 7600 W. 75th Street, Overland Park, Kansas 66204.
