The funeral service for Christopher Dale “Chris” Scott, 38, of Tracy, will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Tracy. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the remembrance center. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
Christopher Dale Scott was born on January 10, 1985, in Marshall, to Charles and Vickie (Cunningham) Scott. He grew up and went to school in Balaton. Chris worked on the family farm in the Balaton/Garvin Area where he loved working with the cows and calves. Since 2018, he had been working for the Hallcon Railway Company.
Chris had a great sense of humor and was very talented. He was a John Deere enthusiast and created a John Deere computer game with all of the associated equipment. He also loved dogs.
Chris died unexpectedly at his residence in Tracy on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. He is survived by his parents Vickie Scott of Tracy and Chuck Scott (Judy Buck) of Balaton, sister Joann Scott of Marshall, brother Aaron Scott of Tracy, niece Ashante Jones and nephew KeShawn Jones of Marshall. He was preceded in death by his sister, Angie Scott, and all of his grandparents.
