Mr. Christopher “Chris” Peter Sexton, 53, of Winston-Salem, passed away in 2017. He was born May 24, 1969 in New London, Connecticut. Chris graduated from Bishop McGuiness High School and Appalachian State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics. Chris was so incredibly inspirational in his teaching and was an avid outdoorsman and environmentalist. Chris was preceded in death by his father, Peter Charles Sexton. Surviving are his mother, Rosemarie Gregory Sexton; a sister, Maria Elena Carter and her husband Jason Carter; a brother, Nicholas “Nick” Sexton and his wife Kristi Sexton; nieces and nephews, Hayden Sexton, Jacob Sexton, Leah Carter, Noah Carter and Clara Carter. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
