Edgar Russell Keyser, 88, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Ed was born on August 16, 1937, to Ralph and Jane Keyser in Allegheny County, PA.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Ed went on to enjoy a successful career at Westinghouse, retiring in 1994 after 26 years of service.
In his younger years, Ed spent countless hours on the ball field coaching youth baseball and attending his son’s hockey games. After raising children, his interests turned to golfing, vacationing with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by a sister, Delsie Tarpey.
Surviving are his loving wife of 61 years, Nancy Harnish Keyser; four children, Orin Keyser (Janel), Curt Keyser, Kelly Sue Snyder (Randall), and Kenneth Keyser (Kori); ten grandchildren, Matthew (Leanna), Jason, Alex, Cameron, Hunter, Savannah (Andy), Lauren (Tyler), Megan, Payton, and Reagan; one great grandchild, Andrew, Jr.; extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103, or to Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church, 4600 Old William Penn Hwy., Murrysville, PA 15668.
