Christopher Sommers Obituary
Christopher Scott Sommers, 56, of Portsmouth, died Sunday, June 23, 2024 in the Emergency Room at SOMC. He was born July 28, 1967 in Portsmouth, to the late Mary Ellen Erskine. He was a 1985 graduate of Portsmouth Notre Dame High School and the C.T.C. Scotty was a former employee of Glockner Oil.
Scotty enjoyed watching his Ohio State Buckeyes and the Bengals.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Stephen and Marjorie Sommers, a cousin, Amy Schreick, and an Uncle Dick Royal.
He is survived by his aunts and uncles, Stephanie Schreick (Ron), Linda Royal, and Stephen Sommers, his cousins, Andy Royal, Christy McGraw (Dale), Dylan McGraw, Isiah Royal, and Stephen and Jessica Sommers.
Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Pastor David Bell officiating. A visitation for friends and family will be on Thursday, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Burial will be on Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg.
