Christopher Todd Stout, 53, of Sanford, NC passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Central Carolina Hospital. Chris was born on August 7, 1972 in Randolph County to Phillip and June Tillman Stout.
He graduated from Northwood High School and attended Central Carolina Community College. He spent many years working in industrial maintenance and also as a skilled welder before becoming disabled.
Chris was an outdoorsman who loved hunting game from deer, duck to wild boar and fishing, especially deep-sea fishing. He also enjoyed cooking all the different game he would kill and catch.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Wade and Mary Stout and June and Cathren Tillman, and his aunt, Kim Tillman Fadely.
In addition to his parents Chris is survived by his daughter, Renay Candela (Daniel) of Knightdale, grandson Matthew Candela also of Knightdale; brother, Patrick Stout (Leah Catherine) of Raleigh; nieces Virginia Stout and Catherine Stout; nephew William Stout; uncles, Doug Stout and Marty Tillman (Angela); cousins Nichole Barlow, Morgan Keefer, Jennah Fadely, Allie Neuzil, Andrew Stout, and Jason Tillman.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to a charity of your choice.
