Christopher James Vogel

Christopher James "Chris" Vogel, 43, passed away on October 23, 2022 in Kyle, Texas. Chris was born in Phoenix, AZ to parents, Stephen Vogel and Cindy Light on May 21st, 1979.
Chris went to high school at El Capitan High School and graduated in 1997. He worked as a Senior Desktop Manager and IT Specialist for SunPower for six years.
Chris is known for his love of books, cinematic arts, board games and video games. He was a wealth of knowledge and fun facts. In spite of his towering stature he was fondly deemed, "The Gentle Giant". Chris had a great sense of humor and was known for his quick witted banter. He enjoyed quality time with loved ones. Many younger family members looked forward to playing with their fun Uncle Chris.
Chris leaves behind a Step-father, Jeff Atkins, Grandparents, James and Lynn Vogel, Uncles, David Light and Doug Vogel, as well as an Aunt, Gail (Vogel) Haver. He is survived by siblings, Elizabeth Atkins Biggerstaff, Kimberlee (Vogel) Romero, Kaitlyn (Vogel) Peinado Amy Atkins, and Brandon Vogel, his nieces and nephews, Sophie Atkins, Alyssa Peinado, Madison Atkins, Oscar Peinado, Aria Romero, Arron Romero, Chloe Biggerstaff, Braden Vogel, Zoe Biggerstaff and Zane Vogel. He will also be greatly missed by his many cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Stephen Vogel and his mother, Cindy (Light) Atkins.
Memorial gatherings will be held in Austin, Texas and San Diego, California.
