Mr. Christopher D. Washington, 51 of Valley, AL passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

Public Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025 from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM EST.

Mr. Washington will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, 2:00 PM EST at Rehoboth Missionary Baptist Church in Valley, AL, Pastor Karanja Story | Officiating, Rev. Kelsey Barnes | Eulogist.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Baptist Church Cemetery in Lanett, AL.

Mr. Washinton leaves precious memories with his wife, Mrs. Shondra Washington of Lagrange, GA; mother, Hattie Washington of Valley, AL, his father, Jessie Truitt of Brooklyn, New York; three sons, Jarmarquis Brock of Lanett, AL, Makeldrick Barnes and Tyquavian Barnes, both of Lagrange, GA; three daughters, Zaquaya Barnes of West Point, GA, Jaelanya Heard of Valley, AL and Yashameka Johnson of Lagrange, GA; four grandchildren: Ty'reanna Brock, Kamazi Brock, Ariyanna Parmond and Ja'Sergio Brock; five sisters, Joyce Thomas of Lanett, AL, Angela N. Washington and Kizzie Washington, both of Valley, AL; Samantha Thomas and Dianna Truitt, both of Brookly, New York; four brothers, Jessie (Dorothy) Washington of Valley, AL, Derrick (Barbara) Truitt of Lanett, AL, Airick Hatchett and Sedrick Hatchett, both of Brookly, New York; great aunt, Carrie (John) Woodbury of Ashland, KY; special uncle, JP Ware of Lanett, AL; god-daughter, Janiyah Phillips of Valley, AL; god-son, Mason Smith of Lanett, AL; numerous aunts and uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
