Christopher Whitemore

Christopher Whitemore passed away peacefully on November 9, 2023 in Riverside, CA at the age of 84. The son of Alfred (Ted) and Joyce Mary Whitemore (nee Badham), Chris was born in Darlington, England, and spent most of his childhood in Bath, England. After receiving his degree in Mechanical & Aeronautical Engineering, he worked for the British Aircraft Company. He moved to Riverside, CA in 1967 to work for the Rohr Aircraft Corporation where he would stay for more than 50 years before retiring in 2020. Chris is preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Joyce, and his sister, Susan.
Chris was well respected in the aerospace industry as an expert in engine nacelle failure analysis. In his personal life he had a passion for planes, sports cars, soccer, and music. He loved his family and friends, traveling frequently between the States and England.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Arlington Mortuary on December 8, 2023 at 2 pm. Following the ceremony, there will be a no host gathering on the Yard House patio, at 3775 Tyler St. in
Riverside.
