Charles Edward "Chuck" Lomonte, 64, departed from this life peacefully surrounded by loved ones, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, after an 8-month battle with cancer.
Chuck was born on August 7, 1959, to Mary Kathryn and Nicholas Lomonte. He was the youngest of 3 children. He was a native of Beaumont and South Park High School Class of '77. He worked at Exxon Mobil for over 35 years, retiring in 2014, allowing he and his wife, Rhonda, to travel and spend time with their granddaughter, Zoey. Chuck found great joy extending his love to his family and made lifelong friends whose loyalty and unwavering support continued to the end. Chuck had a strong faith in God and felt blessed for all the prayers, care, and love that he received.
In addition to his parents, Mary Kathryn and Nick Lomonte, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rosanne Provost and his nephew, Nicholas Provost.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rhonda; daughter, Regan and granddaughter, Zoey (Robert); his brother, Tommy; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Cynde, Amber, Don, Paul, Stacey, Rodney and Tammie; nieces and nephews, Donald, Morgan, Raun, Emily, Matt, Natalie, Trey, Shea and Reese; his dog, Charlie; and many cousins, dear relatives and so many friends.
There will never be another Chuck. He will be greatly missed, fondly remembered and forever loved by all. May he find eternal peace in the embrace of the many family members he will be reunited with in heaven.
A gathering of Mr. Lomonte's family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 4, 2024, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
