Chun Lieu (née Chiem), age 81, passed away at 1:30 pm on July 9, 2025, surrounded by family in Lakewood, Colorado.
Chun was born on May 24, 1944, to Quang Chiem and Hoan Lien in Can Tho, Vietnam. Chun was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Together with Khuong Le Lieu of Lakewood, they raised three sons: Kiet, Hung, and Nathan Khai Su. She was known for her devotion to her family, love of cooking, and traveling across the US and to countries in Europe and Asia.
Chun is survived by her husband of 53 years, Khuong Le; her sons Kiet (Stacey York) of Seattle, Hung of Thornton, Nathan Khai Su (Sunnie) of Kirkland; her brothers Jimmy Jim (Collette) of San Francisco and Wei Jia Jan of Taipei; her sister Anh Chiem (Van Thank Lam) of Dallas; her half-brother Waishing Chiem (Flora Lam) of Westminster; 2 grandsons; 3 granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Charles Jim (Cynthia) of Boston.
Chun is deeply missed by all.
