Chung Ting Ho ObituaryChung Tin Ho of Eden Prairie, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the age of 71 while on his way to meet friends for lunch. Preceded in death by his mother Yen Ssu Ho, father Tien Hsi Ho, and sister Nan Tzen Ho. Chung is survived by his sister Youn Tzen Hui, brother Bruce Ho, his nieces, SiFong Elise Hui, SiYing Serena Hui, Alli Ho, Indi Ho, nephew Chester Ho, and two grandnieces.
Chung was born in Taipei, Taiwan and moved to the United States with his family at the age of 14. He attended Marple Newtown High School in Pennsylvania and graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Chung then received his Masters in Electrical Engineering at California State University.
Chung received numerous awards of merit as a microprocessor engineer while employed at Hughes Aircraft Company in California. He had the distinction of completing a military hardware design and construction and delivering in-person to a military base. Upon plug-in, the equipment started humming. The receiving officer was in awe, commenting, "First time ever!"
In his adopted state of Minnesota, Chung worked as an electrical engineer at Honeywell for many years before starting his own company in 1997.
Chung loved being outdoors. He met lifelong friends with the same outdoor interests, often enjoying walleye fishing in Northern Minnesota along with hunting and camping. During numerous trips to Alaska with friends, some of whom eventually moved there, he enjoyed hiking, camping, "combat" salmon fishing and just spending "family" time.
When Chung was not outdoors, he was either pursuing his passion for engineering design projects or reading a good book.
Chung always traveled to New Mexico to celebrate the Christmas holiday season with his sister and his nieces at treasured family gathering
No matter the family or their location, Chung will be dearly missed by his birth family and all of his adopted families and friends.
Chung's Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 26th, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Huber Funeral Home, Eden Prairie Chapel, Eden Prairie.
