Cicilie Perez, a beloved daughter, sister, and mother, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025, in her hometown of Lubbock, Texas. Born on March 20, 1996, in Lubbock to Abel Garza and Shanna Brown, Cicilie was a radiant soul who brought warmth and love to everyone around her. She lived her life artistically, pouring her heart into her drawings and finding solace in the melodies of music that accompanied her adventures.
Cicilie had an adventurous spirit that led her to explore new horizons, but her favorite journeys were the simple ones spent in deep conversation with her sisters and cherished family. Her laughter would fill the room, and those moments created bonds that will forever be treasured. Above all, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to her daughter, A'zayLiah Parker, who was the center of her universe. The love Cicilie had for A'zayLiah was palpable, as she cherished every moment spent nurturing and guiding her.
Cicilie is survived by her dear daughter, A'zayLiah Parker; two brothers, Chris Garza and Josh Garza, both of Lubbock; two sisters, Samantha Perez of California and Kloey Freeman of Lubbock; her father, Abel Garza of Lubbock; and her grandparents, Homer Brown and Peggy Bryant. Each of them hold close the memories of her infectious joy and creative spirit, and they will carry her legacy in their hearts forever.
Cicilie was preceded in death by her loving mother, Shanna King, who remains in their hearts as a guiding light. Though Cicilie’s time on this earth was far too short, her impact on the lives of those who loved her is immeasurable.
