Cindy Caples, 70, of French Village, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 14, 1955, in St. Louis, she was the cherished daughter of the late Frances (Miller) Diprima. Cindy dedicated over 25 years of her life to serving as an Aero Information Specialist for the government, a role through which she gained the respect and admiration of her colleagues. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she found her greatest joy in spending quality time with her family. Those who knew Cindy will remember her kind spirit, unwavering love, and the warmth she brought into the lives of others. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Diprima; father, Paul Christeson; husband, Robert “Bob” Caples and son, Erik Caples.
Cindy is survived by her two daughters, Kelly Zerwig and husband Jason, Kristen Schobey and husband David; eight grandchildren, Alison Barlow and husband Jacob, Drew Berger and wife Erika, Lane Brown and wife Breanna, Emily Caples, Josie Caples (Tyler Olinger), Lexi, Landon and Liam Schobey; six great-grandchildren; daughter in-law, Michele “Shell” Rae Caples; sisters, Janet Harkless and husband Derrick, Marcia Hacker and husband Harry; and nephew, Phil Caples.
A private inurnment will take place on a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery next to her husband. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge.
