Cindy is survived by her son, Jared (Stephanie) Hansen of Jackson; grandson, Lucas Hansen of Jackson; brother, Darrell (Catherine) Newsome; Sisters, Linda (Dean) Mikkelson, Gloria Newsome, Crystal (Corey) Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Debbie Newsome-Coffelt and Barbara Newsome.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday April 30, 2025, at 11:00am at the Mills Funeral Home, Shelly-Odell Chapel, 518 S. Main Street, Eaton Rapids, MI 48827. Visitation will be Tuesday at the funeral home from 6-8 pm and Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Munger Cemetery immediately following the service. Memorial Contributions may be made to Arbor Hospice, 2366 Oak Valley Dr., Ann Arbor, MI 48103. To leave condolences for the family visit our website, www.millsfuneral.com.

I never had the opportunity to meet Cindy, but I was able to get to know about her through her son Jared. Jared is a thoughtful and kindhearted man who is respectful to all he encounters. The way in which he talked about his mother gave me a glimpse of the importance of being kind, genuine, and loving were to her. What a wonderful gift to pass on to future generations. God's blessing to the family and friends who are feeling the loss of this beautiful woman.

Cindy worked with me back around 1981 as the secretary for the Youth Advocate Program in Eaton Rapids. She was always a great worker and a very kind person. I'm so sorry to hear that she passed away way too young. My condolences to her family.
