Cynthia Johnson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home - Huntsville on Mar. 7, 2026.
Cynthia (Cindy) Diane Farris Johnson

June 20, 1957 – March 6, 2026

Preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Elaine Farris, brother, Ronald Dean Farris, sister, Carol Wise, and nephew, Lane Lawson.

Survived by husband, Donnie Johnson, sons, Casey and wife Jennifer, Dean Johnson and wife Nicole, grandchildren, Peyton Johnson and Evelyn Johnson. As well as sister, Wanda Boswell and husband Mike.

Cindy was a big supporter of her family and all their hopes and dreams. She was a long-time member of Cook Springs Baptist Church, where she served dutifully to help others. Cindy held a long 25-year career at Huntsville Memorial Hospital, even after becoming the recipient of a liver transplant in October 2001. In recent years she spent her life homebound but continued to pour out her love to be a beacon and guiding light for her family. A continuous reminder that miracles still happen and God is always a working force in our lives.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville. A memorial celebration will be Friday, March 13, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Cook Springs Baptist Church. Cindy will be laid to rest at Farris Cemetery following services.
