Ben and family, I just learned of Cindy's death. I am so saddened because she was a lovely person and my favorite times were spent with y'all listening to NPR on Saturday nights, pitching horseshoes and grilling during those early days of our marriages in Rock Hill. A wonderful person with grace and warm smile. My prayers for y'all.

Mrs. Johnson was my first cousin's teacher and eventually became a family friend. When my grandmother passsed 7 years ago, she came over to visit. Every Christmas, her family also gave my grandmother a pie or some type of dish, as well. When my aunt, the mom of my cousin who she taught, passed away in June, there was Mrs. Johnson visiting the family and providing for us again. Such a kind heart and sweet, sweet, lady. My heart goes out to her husband and sons, her family and friends. Prayers and love.

Cindy was a 4th grade teacher when we worked together at Sunset Park. She had such a gentle, loving spirit. Her classroom was a place of calm and grace where all children felt loved. A wise person once said, "learning is exchanged for love," and Cindy proved that. The world is missing a beautiful light.

To The Many Family and Dear Friends:
It is with great sadness and humble, humble joy that we ask The Good Lord to place His Loving Arms around you to lead, comfort, and guide you during this time. Mrs. Johnson was my son LaMarr's fourth grade teacher at Richmond Drive. He loved her so much and they formed a special bond that will never be broken. At the end of that school year he told me he wanted to give her something special and I asked him what it was and he said, "a trophy because I will never have another teacher like her." I didn't question him on it because I knew she deserved it and as a parent I'm now so glad I listened to him (deep down inside he knew what he was doing). Mrs. Johnson loved that trophy and her teacher friends (that he also had as teachers) would tease him at the end of the year about whether or not they deserved a trophy too. Well, she deserves more than that and that what she deserves God will give it to her and that is her Heavenly Crown! To all that love and knew her put your trust in The Lord and keep your hands in His Hands and He will take real good care of you just like He Is Now Taking Perfect Care Of Her!
We love you,
Mark Hamrick

To the family and many friends of Cindy. PLEASE accept my condolences at this time. Jesus stated in Matthew 5:7 Happy are the merciful, since they will be shown mercy, Cindy tiresley gave of herself for other and those many many children giving them confidence to believe in themselves a d the world we live in today, who of us don't need the same encouragement today all all ages. Hebrew 10:24,25 Helps us to see that we all need to be there for one another . I love the backdrop of her photo , because it gives us a real glimpse of our reality , which is a earthly paradise that God pro uses us.
