Cindy Lee Rawlston, 66 of Worcester, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at UMass Medical Center with her family by her side.
Cindy was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Chester and Gloria (Gentile) Rawlston. She graduated from David Hale Fanning Trade High School, Class of 1976 and earned her certification in cosmetology from Rob Roy Academy. Cindy worked as a hairdresser for 20 years most recently at D’Iorio’s and previously for Rob Roy.
Cindy was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing cards especially pitch, used to be a DJ, loved singing karaoke and always threw a good party but she mostly enjoyed spending time with family, friends and “Turts” and the memories they made.
Cindy is survived by her sister, Peg Rawlston of Worcester; close friends, Stacy Heiber and Andrea DiLeo both of Worcester and Stephanie Lenahan of Shrewsbury; nieces and nephews including Zackary Johnson, Amanda Rawlston, Adam Johnson, Niko Esposito, also her great nephew Marcello Johnson and great niece Aurora Johnson; several extended family members and friends. She is predeceased by two brothers, Chester Rawlston, Jr. and Joseph Rawlston and a sister, Lorna Johnson.
Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours on Saturday, September 7th from 8-10 am with a funeral service at 10:00 am in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
