Clair G. Hammerand

Clair George Hammerand, 79, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Beloit Memorial Hospital with Kathy by his side.
He was born on August 16, 1944 in Dubuque, IA, the son of Howard and Rita (Collins) Hammerand. Clair married Kathy Tibbetts on July 21, 1979 in Beloit, WI.
Clair was formerly employed by Guilford Patterns in Rockford, IL and Ace Pattern Works in Beloit until his retirement in 1999. He was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Woodworking was Clair's life and hobby, along with restoring his 1936 Oldsmobile that he fully restored from scratch. He used his skills as a woodworker to make a variety of keepsakes that will be cherished by his family and friends. He enjoyed golf, challenging 3D puzzles, and spending time with his family and friends. Clair loved amusement parks, especially the roller coasters and Halloween as it gave him much joy and happiness that he shared with his grandchildren. Clair and Kathy's special time was him singing to her while they danced together in the kitchen.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Kathy Hammerand; children, Heidi (Matt) Brown, T.J. Sand, Jill Edwards, Carey (Tony) Agate and Tina Bremel; grandchildren, Nicholas, Loren, Shamiah, Thomas, Presley, London, Anthony (Natasha), Jake, and Bailey; great-grandchildren, Axel and Brinly; brothers, Randy (Charleen) Hammerand and Herk (Sandy) Hammerand.
Clair was predeceased by his parents and granddaughter, Karen.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Clair will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2023 in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 2222 Shopiere Rd., Beloit, WI, with Fr. Lawrence Oparaji officiating.
A memorial in his name will be established at a later date.
